PowerSchool Notes Why do I have a zero or "M" for missing?? Here are the common reasons. Please investigate on your end to figure out what happened.
1. Did not share the required documents with Mr. Vogt. Shared means dragging assignment into shared SS folder.
2. Did not name documents correctly(hour lastname assignment title), therefore the document appears to have not been turned in, even though you did actually complete it. If you did not name the document exactly as above, fix it so your assignment appears in the list. For example, the assignment may be called, "3 Vogt Egypt".
3. Did not share the actual assignment doc from the homework page. When you receive an assignment, most times the rubric and guidelines are already in the document. If you make a separate document, those items will not appear in the document. Therefore, make sure you make a copy of the assignment and put your work in the document from the homework page. That way, all the assignment explanations and rubrics will be in the document.
4. Did not give Mr. Vogt rights to edit document, therefore not allowing him to enter comments and your grade.
5. You didn't complete the assignment
What do I do now??
-Correct the problem, send an email to Mr. Vogt letting him know what happened
-Am I penalized? No. All assignments that were turned in correctly will be graded first, so you might have to wait a little longer, but no grade deduction will occur. If the same issue continues to happen, however, further interventions will occur such as contacting your parents.
Grading - A few things to keep in mind: -Please check your child's grades with them on a regularbasis -Look over the grading codes in Power School for an explanation of gradebook entries -You can access Power School here -If your student is absent, remind them to ask their teachers for the work they need to make up -If you have any questions, email or give me a call. I would be happy to help you and your student achieve everything they are capable of
